The Hunt for Dead October - Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Hunt for Dead October last Friday night.  Although the impending hurricane might have scared off a few potential visitors, several hundred families enjoyed the craft activities, skeleton scavenger hunts, and of course the debut of "The Revenge of Bartholomew."  Here is a picture of the crowd gathering for our second showing of the play, just minutes before we went on:

Visitors who enjoyed the festivities on Friday night witnessed a fun performance.  The puppet play, starring several of our very own Blue Jacket Puppets, told the continuing story of Pirate Captain Bartholomew and his evil plan to seek revenge on the USS Adventure.  Several families enjoyed the performance more than once, with one family coming to all three!  It was a fantastic time.  A special thank you to all the HRNM Staff and Volunteers involved in the event.  More recaps to come!

Where's Captain Bartholomew?

In honor of the newest Blue Jacket Puppet Play, "The Revenge of Bartholomew," debuting at this year's Hunt for Dead October at HRNM, our Daybook Editor and former Blue Jacket Puppets staff member Gordon Calhoun made a couple of fun pictures for fans to enjoy.  These familiar images, all of naval or Civil War history,  have one addition to it: Pirate Captain Bartholomew!  See if you can spot him! (Some are harder than others)
